Camshaft Lada Niva 21214: 10.9 / 9.8 mm (phase 258/256 °) is designed for engines with thermal gap hydraulic compensators.

This camshaft belongs to the grassroots. Downstream camshafts have the advantage of high bottom end torque. It makes sense to install such a camshaft for those who mainly move around the city or off-road. It will help to effectively start from a place at traffic lights and intersections. At medium speeds, the lower camshafts behave similarly to serial ones, but it is unlikely that it will be possible to rush along the highway faster than the wind.


Key Features of 10.9/9.8mm Camshaft:

• Valve lift 10.90/9.80 mm,

• Phase width (degrees PCV) 256/253 (hydraulic lifters).


Recommended installation phases:

• inlet opening 20º before TDC, closing 56º after BDC,

• release opening 53º before BDC, closing 20º after TDC. Intake valve lift at TDC 1.05 mm.*

The installation phases are specified with an installation gap of 0.30 mm.


Additional information: Comes with a camshaft housing lowered by 0.6 mm.


To install the 10.9/9.8 camshaft you need:

 • split gear,

• intake system standard,

• exhaust system desirable tuning,

 • calibration of the engine control unit.
